“Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into a world”
This thought was well expounded by our children via their presentation on various interdisciplinary themes.
The HDFC School, Bengaluru, in its ceaseless endeavours to nurture the potential of young minds facilitated the Interdisciplinary Project Display by its little ones. The children from Grades LKG to Grade II presented the projects on varied themes including Different types of plants, Wild and Endangered Animals, Interdependency of plants and animals, Birds and Insects, Reptiles and Amphibians, Aquatic and Arctic Animals and Extinct and Endangered Animals’.
Our students worked on the projects over an extended period of time and were thoroughly engaged in solving real-time problems. As a result, students developed deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, creativity and communication skills in the context of doing an authentic and meaningful project.
The confidence that these little children displayed while interacting and explaining their work to the parents was commendable. All the parents appreciated the efforts put in by our little ones as they presented a variety of skits, dances and musical performances based on their themes. It unleashed the contagious creative energy among them.
The parents were all in awe to see how eloquently these little speakers were explaining their learning, exploration, investigation and related work to them.
It fostered the spirit of teamwork among the young learners. It was indeed a pleasure to see their project displays and how convincingly they presented and explained their work in front of the audience.
