The little ones of Nursery at The HDFC School, Bengaluru, recently celebrated Red Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The vibrant colour red was the theme of the day, and it was truly a sight to behold.
The children came to school dressed in various shades of red, from crimson and scarlet to cherry and ruby. The classrooms were adorned with red decorations, creating a festive atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the day’s celebrations.
The day began with a warm welcome and greetings extended to everyone. The teachers captivated the children with a storytelling session featuring "The Little Red Hen." Following the story, the children engaged in a creative activity by making red hen handprint crafts.
In line with the red theme, students brought red-themed food for their snacks and lunch. The sight of strawberries, watermelons, apples, red velvet cupcakes, and added a delightful culinary twist to the day. Sharing and enjoying these red delicacies fostered a sense of community and excitement among the children.
The excitement continued with a lively music and movement session. To conclude the day~s activities, the children painted red apples they had previously crafted in their pottery class.
The celebration extended beyond the classroom, with the pre-primary teachers also donning red attire. This collective participation created a cohesive and spirited environment, reinforcing the importance of community and togetherness.
