Description :
On a bright and pleasant day, our Grade 3 students embarked on an educational trip to the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, a visit that promised to spark their curiosity about the cosmos. The excitement was palpable as the students, accompanied by their teachers, eagerly entered the planetarium, ready to explore the wonders of space.
The highlight of the trip was an engaging short film in English about stars and planets. The film, projected onto the expansive dome-shaped ceiling, captivated the young audience with its vivid visuals and fascinating facts. The students were taken on a virtual journey through the universe, learning about the various planets, constellations, and the life cycle of stars. The immersive experience left them in awe, with many eagerly asking questions and sharing their newfound knowledge with each other.
After the film, the students were given an hour of free playtime in the Science Park located within the planetarium complex. The park was a treasure trove of interactive exhibits and hands-on activities designed to make learning fun. The students explored various science-themed installations, from simple machines to optical illusions, each providing a unique opportunity to learn through play. The open space allowed them to run around, experiment with the exhibits, and enjoy the fresh air, making it a perfect blend of education and recreation.
The trip to the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium was not just a learning experience but also a day filled with joy and discovery. The students returned with a deeper understanding of the universe and memories that would last a lifetime.
