“The greatest threat to our planet is in the belief that someone else will save it.”
The most essential part of our lives, or rather, our lives is the environment and it needs saving. While many adults around the world fail to recognize this fact, our little children at The HDFC School, Bengaluru are contributing awareness towards the environmental needs.
World Environment Day falls on the 5th of June and is celebrated worldwide to spread awareness about the dire state that it currently is in and the things we can do to help change it.
We managed to pull off a very successful event online this year.
Children from the Nursery grade hand painted the earth on paper plates and displayed their beautiful works. Children in LKG were given an educative presentation highlighting the significance of the three Rs, REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. They were encouraged to colour the famous cyclic symbol for the same and made fun headgears. Our tiny tots of UKG illustrated our planet Earth and wrote slogans like “Save our trees and Save our planet Earth.”
Overall, it was a fun filled and wonderfully enjoyable event with active participation from all our children. The fact that these blooming buds are already aware about the environment and the issues it faces is optimistic hope for Planet Earth and it’s safe to say, they will end up being responsible citizens of our society.
