Date of event:
October - 2021
Description :
In anticipation of the ‘World Environment Day’, The HDFC School, Bengaluru, piloted Art and Craft sessions to sensitize students to use and hero a recycled material into ‘a thing of beauty’.
There were interactive sessions with students about ways of protecting our planet and keeping our environment safe.
Thereafter, the students of Grades III to V indulged in a myriad of activities. While the students of Grade III indulged in designing the model of Earth on paper plates using leaves and poster paints, students of Grade IV drew trees that symbolised the Earth by using bubble wrap and paints. At the same time, the students of Grade VI showcased their artistic skill by creating a wearable pendent using cardboard, green gram pulse and thread. While accomplishing these projects, students learnt to “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
Students of Grades VI to IX made giant beautiful sunflower with the earth in the center made using newspaper, cardboard and paints. If ‘the Earth laughs in flowers’, it would surely giggle after seeing these gorgeous sunflowers.
Over all the celebrations for the World Environment day delighted us just like the sky, the mountains, the trees and the animals, give us a delight.
