A rewarding career counselling session was conducted at the school on the 12th of August, 2023 by Dr Ali Khwaja, Director and Founder of Banjara
Academy for the parents and students of Grade IX, X & XI.
Dr Khwaja emphasised on identifying the strengths, interests and inclinations of a child before making the crucial subject choices for grades XI and XII.
He suggested that students must be encouraged to set their goals first and then trace their step backwards. He pointed out that one must never give in to
the herd mentality of choosing a course or college because others are doing so, one must uncover one’s own interests before making that decision and follow
it through after considerable research and understanding. Once one identifies where one’s passion lies then success, wealth and happiness will follow.
Dr Khwaja emphasised the importance of hard work and determination as an important ingredient in the recipe of success in life and in the chosen career.
However, he stressed upon us enabling our children into making that quintessential decision only after considerable analysis, self-reflection and with
much required clarity.
Overall, the session was extremely informative for the students as well as their parents as they went back with basic insights on the steps that they need
to take going forward in life. Dr Khwaja assured them of his assistance if need be in this process and thus the session was concluded with a short
interaction session with parents and students.
