Description :
“Science is part of the reality of living; it is the what, the how, and the why of everything in our experience.”- Rachel Carson
Science is simply the word to describe a method of organizing our curiosity. Science never solves a problem without creating ten more. It is about asking questions and finding answers to questions, these are actually the same skills that we all use in our daily lives as we try to figure out everyday questions.
With the aim to encourage the students curiosity, questioning and thinking skills The HDFC School, Bengaluru, organised its first ever online Science week for its students from 17th – 21st January 2022.
Each day was packed with fun filled activities for students.
The young scientists explored the scientific skills through various STEM activities. Students had fun learning Science concepts through Science fact and trivia. They also explored science food art which encouraged them to develop creativity, critical thinking, science literacy, and motivated them to think about being the next generation of innovators. Students were exposed to amazing species and their survival methods, overcoming harsh climates, scarce food sources, and dwindling resources for shelter through a beautiful nature docuseries about the effects of climate change on wildlife and habitats from the team behind Our planet and narrated by David Attenborough. Students enhanced their science wisdom in a playful manner through gamification.
The students participated enthusiastically and the event was successful in intriguing the students about the exciting world around them.
