Description :
Children who experience holistic development during their school years grow up to become global citizens. As important as it is to learn Math and English, it is equally necessary that children in school get a proper education in science, and arts and are taken on field trips. Giving equal weightage to both indoor as well as outdoor activities is what will make children well prepared for what lies outside in the real world.
As a part of the curriculum, The HDFC School, Bengaluru’s UKG children were taken to the Charlie Rescue Center- CARE for a field trip. This helped the little ones become aware, empathetic and loving towards animals of all kinds which are sick, strays, and also homeless.
The children were overwhelmed to see different animals like cats, dogs, water turtles, guinea pigs, ducks, turkeys, and different colourful birds. The teacher explained to them the features and characteristics of each animal.
The field trip was fruitful and enjoyed by all the children.
