‘Winning means you are ready to go longer, work harder and give more than anyone else’
The HDFC School, Bengaluru participated in the Inter-School competition ‘Sport – A – Thon, 2023 organised by DPS Whitefield from 6 July, 2023 to 8 July, 2023.
The U-18 girls’ Football Team made the school proud by winning the finals.
They won the match after an exhilarating finals played against EUROSCHOOL, north campus. The match was quite intense and till the last minute both the teams score were equal. The HDFC School team defeated the opponents by a margin of 2-0 after a nerve wracking tie breaker.
Ms. Rithika Shankar – Grade X who was captain of the team won the trophy for the Best Player and Ms.
Aneekah Sudhindraa – Grade VI won the trophy for the Best Goalkeeper.
Though the average age of the players of The HDFC School was just 13.06 years, the players’ agility and coordination were on full display as they dribbled past
the opponent’s defenders and made crucial passes.
The students of The HDFC School, Bengaluru, proved that it is not the age but will power, determination and discipline that makes one a winner.
