“Learning should be a joy and full of excitement. It is life’s greatest adventure”
Excursions are the best way to experience and to develop a child’s confidence as they are able to explore and begin to understand the real world.
Historical places are the travel cove of information.
As the part of Inquisitive the Explorer club, The HDFC School, Bengaluru, had arranged an excursion for the students of Grades VI to XI on Saturday,
29 July, 2023 to the Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple.
It is situated at the base of Nandi Hills and is one of the few antiquated temples in India which is very well preserved.
The temple complex now comes under the management of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
As it is rightly said that “Not all classrooms have walls”, we truly believe in experiential learning.
Keeping that in mind, students were exposed to new experiences and observing new things such as the beauty and grandeur of the temple and the
intricately detailed carvings on the temple facade, rare facts about the temple like the temple dates back to the 9th-century and is termed as
one of the oldest temples in the state of Karnataka. The beauty of the temple and Nandi hills around it was also mesmerizing.
Students left the premises with lovely memories which they will cherish for their life time.
