Description :
The habit of reading broadens our horizons and helps us become a better person in life. With the aim of increasing the reading habits of our students The HDFC School Pune (Library) in collaboration with FLIP App formed the Flip Student Reading Council comprising students of grade 5 and 6. This is an example of peer learning experience where students present in group to discuss ideas, and share insights. This helps them to take the lead in learning activities, teaching their peers through discussion and presentation.
Ms. Sonal Kane from Flip conducted an online session with the HDFC Reading Council team and guided them as to how to go ahead with the story telling activity. Later on the students practiced under the supervision of the librarians. The first session was held on September 6th 2024 wherein the students narrated a story named ‘Mini’s First Vote’. This session was conducted for the students of grade 5. It was a very lively and interactive session. The audience was very eager to know what happened in the story and participated enthusiastically in the Q and A session that followed.
