The students of Grade IV were a part of their first Authors Meet on 13th June 2023. This meet was organized by the team of Scholastic Mumbai and Scholastic Pune.
The students of The HDFC School Pune were privileged to interact with one of the eminent authors, MR. Ken Spillman.
Based in Australia, Ken Spillman has written around 100 books, three quarters of them for children or teens. His work has been translated into numerous
languages and published across four continents. Mr. Ken has presented sessions to more than 100,000 children and is a frequent visitor to India.
It was an interactive secession full of questions soaring the curiosity levels of our students. Young readers were fascinated by the author and asked
questions related to the author~s journey as a writer. The students saw a few books written by the author and got to know that reading is a fundamental to
function today. It stimulates our imagination and expands our creativity. The author also shared a few anecdotes about how he channelled
his imaginations into writing. The meet ended with the writer handing over his signed books to a few students.
