Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a key element of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Having adopted SDG integrated curriculum, we at The HDFC School, have developed a number of pedagogical ideas for classroom activities and multimedia resources detailing how best to integrate ESD into teaching and learning right from early childhood care.
By keeping the same in mind, our students of UKG participated in an English Poem recitation competition that was held on 17th January 2022 on the topic.
“SDG- Let’s Build a Better World”.
Children recited poems on the given theme with great enthusiasm and got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. All the participants were confident and recited their chosen poems beautifully. The children came up with different poems on animals, plants, mother earth and used expressions, thoughts, emotion and rhythm. A significant message was spread through the poems about our environment and it was essential to become aware of the consequences ahead. The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and memory skills while reciting poems. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence. Everyone was delighted after seeing their pleasing performances.
