Description :
“Give a child a book and you change the world. In a way, even the universe.” Our little children of UKG actually
took out the universe and solar system from their books and brought it to life inside their classrooms for the year’s
second Interdisciplinary Project under the theme of – “Universe”.
An Interdisciplinary curriculum combines several school subjects into one active project bringing together various aspects
of curriculum into meaningful association. This is the reason that IDP are integral part of our curriculum and we conduct it
twice a year right from kindergarten level, so as to achieve this meaningful association of subjects and also to make our children
learn all their subjects in much more creative and fun way.
The theme of second term IDP for UKG across all the sections was -Universe, where each child was either a planet, a star,
a dwarf planet, a scientist, or an astronaut. Right from the story behind formation of the universe to -why Pluto is not a
planet anymore, little children of UKG unfolded all the mysteries about universe in their sweet little ways. Beautiful planet rhymes,
interesting facts about each planet made the presentation memorable. This big topic of Universe learned and presented in a creative way
is going to remain in the hearts of our little ones for a very long time. It was indeed an experience of “Happy Learning”.
