Model United Nation - Improving Education
On 27th August 2022, The Model United Nations 2022 organised by THE HDFC School, Pune was
inaugurated in the presence of school principal, Dr. Amruta Prabhu.
This event was conducted in the school premises on 27th and 28th August.
The two-day MUN aimed to improve the delegates~ debating and administrative abilities.
Additionally, the MUN hosted a couple of the most seasoned executive board members with a fresh perspective who
strive to conduct the sessions with professionalism.
Dr. Amruta Prabhu emphasised on having such events which provide a platform to students at large, transcending the local boundaries.
A Model United Nations, reflects the aspirations of people and demonstrates how the world should move and the UN provides leadership.
The School formed three committees namely United Nations Disarmament and International Security (UNDISEC), United Nations Human
Rights Council (UNHRC) and United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).
It was indeed an amazement for the students as they experienced hands on learning by being a delegate of their respective countries.
Students realised the importance of world issues and promotion of peace through cooperation and diplomacy.
Grade VI to XII
Students of Grade VI and XII had hands on experience on MUN. They researched various topics and turned in papers to the appropriate chairs.
They gained knowledge of the significance of world issues that have an impact on the lives of everyday people. The students at the MUN
submitted flawless papers. With tremendous anticipation for planning such events, the students thoroughly enjoyed and learned a lot during the session.
