Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!!!!
A special assembly was conducted by the students of Grade V E on 29 August 2022 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi wherein the students portrayed the importance of the festival "Ganesh Chaturthi". The assembly commenced with an obeisance dance performance by the students in the most exuberant music. A role play scripted by students was enacted on how Lord Ganesha, the son of Parvati, acquired his elephant head. Their actions and costumes and the whole atmosphere added to the festive spirit. It was followed by a melodious song sung by the group praising the existence of Lord Ganesha. Based on SDG 14: Life below Water, students performed a role play to spread the importance of using eco-friendly Ganesha idols over idols made from Plaster of Paris. The audience listened in rapt attention.
The students were encouraged to celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly manner by taking pledges.
The program concluded with the chants of ‘Ganapati Bappa Moryaa’, in which all the students and teachers participated fully and respectfully.
We were delighted that no child fell short of either enthusiasm or poise!
