Date of event:
July - 2024
Description :
Under the inspiring theme of Earth Allies, our students participated in WRO India Season 2024, where they were encouraged to innovate robotics solutions to live in harmony with nature while addressing global sustainability challenges and preventing natural disasters with the help of robotics.
Our team of three students, Advitya Kawatra (Grade X), Rishabh Aggarwal (Grade VIII), and Ekkam Singh (Grade IX), along with their mentor Ms. Priyanka Singh, ideated and developed a solution for natural disasters like tsunamis. The details are as follows:
In the aftermath of natural disasters like tsunamis, timely and effective rescue operations are crucial for saving lives. Our proposed solution is an innovative robotic system designed to enhance rescue missions by operating autonomously in challenging aquatic environments. This project aims to deploy a fleet of specialized robots capable of locating and rescuing survivors, ensuring their safety, and providing essential aid until further assistance arrives.
Our robotic solution involves a two-tier system Bird-eye robots for mapping and sea-rescue robots for direct rescue operations.
Bird-Eye Robots: These aerial robots will create a 3-dimensional map of the affected area using advanced thermal imaging and photographic technology. They will identify the safest locations near the shore for rescue teams and sea-rescue robots to operate.
Sea-Rescue Robots: Sea-rescue robots represent a cutting-edge solution for maritime emergencies, specifically designed to navigate treacherous waters and save lives in situations such as tsunamis, floods, or maritime accidents.
We are thrilled to inform you that our team secured the 44th position among 400 teams in the Future Innovators Virtual Championship category.
As per the Progression Criteria, the top 400 teams from all the events of the Virtual Championship (Level 1) shall progress to the Regionals (Level 2).
