The HDFC School, GURGAON conducted a speaking activity ‘Let’s Get Festive, where the learners of grades 1&2 arrived, dressed to the nines. The utilisation of a wide range of vibrant props highlighted their preparation. The students enthralled us, by the variety of topics they chose to speak on, which included the different festivals celebrated in India and across the globe. They emphasised on the significance of Diwali and the triumph of good over evil. They made us yearn for Holi, the celebration of colours. They reminisced us about the pumpkin season and trick-or-treating, as well as putting on fun costumes for Halloween. They dressed up as Santa Claus to emphasise the significance of helping and reaching out to one another and the wonderful occasion that brings our families together while serving others. Speaking abilities are a crucial aspect of communication and such activities are encouraged as a medium of learning and honing a valuable talent.
Through this fun and engaging way, they learnt the importance of honouring numerous festivals, as well as what makes each one so unique and significant. We cherish our student~s enthusiasm at a time where their effort and vigour bring us so much joy and hope for a better future.
