“True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us." -Socrates
To underscore the significance of ethics and morals in our lives, a "Doha Vachan Activity" was organized for students in Grades I and II. Dohas, which are lyrical couplets used extensively by North Indian poets and saints, are celebrated for their profound insights conveyed through simple language.
During the event, students recited Dohas from renowned poets such as Surdas, Kabirdas, Rahimdas, and Tulsidas. Their performances were marked by spontaneity and ease, captivating the audience with their melodious renditions. The students also demonstrated impressive expression skills while explaining and contextualizing the Dohas.
The activity not only highlighted the cultural richness of these couplets but also emphasized the essential values of wisdom and morality. The students’ engaging presentations and thoughtful interpretations left a lasting impression, reinforcing the relevance of these ethical teachings in today’s world.
