The HDFC School Gurgaon in collaboration with Shin Edupower Pvt. Ltd, a Japanese education company known for providing unique educational programs for schools in Japan and India recently organized a study tour to Japan that provided students with a unique opportunity to engage in cross-cultural learning and global collaboration. This event was part of a broader initiative to foster international understanding and holistic education. The tour was organised from 5 November – 12 November 2024.
The tour included visiting iconic UNESO world-heritage sites in Kyoto and other cultural landmarks in Tokyo and Osaka. Students explored the city in Osaka and Tokyo where the system is surprising organised and enjoyed the magical world of Tokyo Disneyland. The visit to Meisei High School in Osaka, a private boy’s school renowned for its global education provided the students with a first-hand experience of Japanese school life, fostering educational and cultural exchange. The study tour developed confidence among the students in navigating a foreign environment using interpersonal skills. It broadened their perspectives, encouraged independence, adaptability and problem solving in an international setting. The tour provided an excellent opportunity to create a holistic and transformative experience that prepared students for the globalized world.
