Description :
One to One correspondence Activity
“Good mathematics is not about how many answers you know but about how you find out when you don~t know.”
Children learn to count before they learn to write numbers, just as they learn to speak before they learn to write words.
In the early years, one-to-one correspondence is a foundational numeracy skill that allows children to understand numbers naturally.
Children of Nursery Grade experienced a great way to count the numbers through a fun-filled and engaging “Little Ducks”
activity.
They participated in the activity with a zealous attitude by matching the number of dots on the duck cut-outs to their correct corresponding number.
They felt elated and marvelled in joy about accomplishing this feat. This interactive exercise accentuated their attention span and developed
intellectual capacities like visual-motor and eye-hand coordination. It also articulated the importance of self-directed learning to nurture
them into happy and confident human beings in today’s world.
