Advancing to the next grade in school always brings a little nervousness and excitement. The jump from foundational to preparatory years, however, is about a lot more than getting used to a new classroom. Students are introduced to new academic areas & skills, and are expected to function more independently. Keeping in view the importance of transitional years and the role of parents in a child’s learning journey, an Orientation Program was organized for parents of Grade III on 9 April 2022 (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am at the Multipurpose Hall, The HDFC School, Gurgaon. The orientation program familiarized the parents with the growth pattern, development and learning that the children will experience in the coming years. Teachers demonstrated various concept activities that they use in the classroom to teach abstract concepts to the students. The session also gave an overview of the pedagogy adopted in the preparatory years to nurture the learners into happy, skilful, and confident human beings in today’s creative world.
