Education and holistic development of child is of a paramount importance to the School , teachers and parents.
All shoulder an immense responsibility to ensure good education and contribute in shaping up the child’s personality.
In light of this thought, an orientation program for the parents of Grade 1 was organised wherein the parents were
apprised of the curriculum progression, pedagogies followed and how all the domains are addressed in the foundational
years at The HDFC School, Gurgaon.
The parents were given an insight into the experiential ,inquisitive, yet structured approach of learning through
demonstrations given by the educators. Active involvement of the parents to be the part of the activities was a
delight to watch as they were transported back to their childhood. They were acquainted with the plethora of
co- scholastic activities through which the school aims to develop multiple intelligence and the futuristic
kills in young learners.
The orientation program also focused on need of developing growth mindset in the children and how the parents
and teachers can inculcate ethics and the values of responsibility in them. The program ended with an interactive
open house where the parents shared their queries and poured in their suggestions and ideas.
