The day that honours essence of a mother, the one who is the real wonder woman of our lives, was celebrated with joy
and merriment. To celebrate the real queens without crowns, The HDFC School, Gurgaon hosted the poem recitation
activity – ‘My Mother is a Bliss’ , for grades I-II where our young learners came up with the poems to show their
gratitude towards their mothers.
Our little ones worked hard to create adorable props for their poems. They poured their hearts out and reverberated
every mother~s heartbeat for her child in the stanzas they quoted, such as "Oh mother, you~re such a bliss, your
hug is all that I miss."
Our children~s metaphors, such as "she is the sunlight in my day, she is the moon I see far away," seized the moments,
humbled all of us, and left a mark in time that will be remembered in celebrating the everlasting, unconditional bond
of love and affection for all the mothers out there.
Our students reminded us, through the poem recitation activity, of the lights that guide us through the darkness, the
touch of a hand on our forehead after a long day, and the shield that is a mother who will always protect us, no
matter where we all are.
