Description :
“Food is the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. “
As the G20 summit takes place in India this year, an activity was conducted at The HDFC School, Gurgaon where our young learners of grade II
exhibited a wonderful presentation on the food culture of the countries who are a part of G20. Our little orators spoke about a popular dish
of one the chosen countries and took the audience on a delectable journey of its origin and significance. Learners displayed their enthusiasm by
dressing up in suitable attires and carried colourful props to enhance their presentation. A widespread platter of diverse cuisine from all around
the world included Japanese Sushi, Italian pizza, Australian meat pie, Canadian Bannock, Chinese Dumplings, Kabsa from Saudi Arabia, Malaysian Rendang,
Mexican Tacos and various Indian delicacies like dal-baati churma, gulab-jamun and idli-sambhar. The learners took pride in using indigenous salutations
of their chosen country which validated their immense zeal and great fervor towards the activity.
The activity was aimed to bring the learners in rendezvous with some of the most popular cuisines from around the world. It also gave them an opportunity
to explore and acquire a knowledge of some of the most authentic cuisines of the 20 most powerful and leading nations of the world. The laudable performances
of all the learners were thoroughly cherished by one and all present there.
