On 25th August 2022, the first session of the National Youth Parliament 2022 was simulated, representing the Lower House - Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament. The session was graced by an esteemed Member of Parliament, Shri Dharambir Singh along with parents, students, and the faculty members of the school fraternity. Ms. Anita Makkar, Principal and Education Leader emphasized the integral role of youth to further strengthen the pillars of democracy and work towards building a strong foundation. Fifty-three delegates were dressed in ethnic and formal Indian attire and represented as proposition and opposition speakers. Different agendas were raised ranging from amendments in NEP to the women~s reservation bill which the speakers adroitly articulated. Additionally, the speakers deliberated on tackling issues related to inflation, improvisation of infrastructure, etc. which are equally essential to lead the nation forward. Overall, the session culminated with refreshments and an elated cohort who looks forward to another enchanting and informative session next year.
