Interdisciplinary education allows us to blend different fields of study and concepts and create an interconnected and better understanding of the world.
The students of The HDFC School, Grades Nursery and KG presented their Term-1 Inter-Disciplinary Project on 15th September 2023, Friday on the themes Transport and Community Helpers (Nursery), Flora and Fauna (KG) with great passion and ebullience. With curiosity as their compass, they delved into the captivating themes of transportation and flora and fauna, reminding us that even the tiniest learners are capable of big wonders.
The Nursery students elucidated the fact that ‘Transportation’ will always be a predominant part of our existence and that each community helper uses different modes of transport to perform their duties and services. With their wide-eyed enthusiasm, they became little storytellers, exhibiting fascinating facts about various means of transportation.
Meanwhile, our Kindergarten students took the parents on an awe-inspiring journey into the intricate web of life on our planet. They introduced them to the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit our Earth, sparking a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Through vibrant activities and vivid descriptions, they showcased how the flora and fauna hugely benefit mankind through their medicinal and food offerings. They connect us back to who we are and to the purpose of why we are here.
As the day drew to a close, the school reverberated with laughter, learning, and love.
The event provided an exemplary opportunity for the students to exhibit their flamboyance and zest. They exhibited their work through role plays, rhymes and models. Parents and children departed with hearts full of cherished memories, and a shared commitment to nurturing the inquisitive spirits of our youngest learners.
