The School Innovation Council (SIC), an initiative led by the Ministry of Education~s Innovation Cell (MIC), has been introduced to all schools across every state in India. It comprises educators, students, and experts from both industry and academia, with the purpose of conducting year-round activities for students and teachers centered around ~Innovation and Entrepreneurship.~
In this context, The HDFC School in Gurugram has established an innovation council consisting of 7 student members and 26 Innovation Ambassador Educator members. The School Innovation Council aims to facilitate a change in mindset, raise awareness, and provide training on Ideation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (IIE), design thinking, Intellectual Property Rights, startup finance, and HR for both teachers and students.
In the process of selecting student members, a screening test was conducted, evaluating students not only on academic attributes but also on qualities such as creative thinking, resilience, aptitude, and a research-oriented mindset. From the pool of 60 students who volunteered to participate in the innovation council, the following students were chosen for the School Innovation Council:
