The art of storytelling is an age-old tradition that transcends cultures and generations. It is a medium through which children can explore new worlds, learn valuable lessons, and develop a strong foundation for literacy.
With the thought of giving such wonderful experiences full of fun and learning, The HDFC School, Gurgaon organized a storytelling session for the learners of grade 2. The storyteller Ms. Seema W Mukherjee narrated her self-written story ‘Mimi- A Young Dragon Who Could Not Fly’ which captivated the young imagination and transported them to yet another world. The story gave out a message of a never giving up attitude and believing in oneself. The children were encouraged to ask questions, share their thoughts, and even act out parts of the story. An array of eye-catching props and visual aids were used to keep the children engaged and helped them better visualize the story’s events. It truly was an interactive and enjoyable session that brightened the spirits of our young learners, leaving them eager for more tales.
