Decked with great splendour, mirth and zest, The HDFC School, Gurgaon celebrated its Annual Extravaganza on Tuesday, 21 February 2023 for Grades III-V. The event was a myriad of celebrations replete with splendid dances, elegant music and hues of colours amidst dazzling vibrancy and elation. Ms. Renu Sud Karnad, Managing Director, HDFC Ltd. graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour among other esteemed spectators.
The program commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by a melodious string of symphony where the students of choir and orchestra sang their hearts out. The songs ‘Meethi Vaani Boliye’ and ‘Never Say Never’ reverberated the hall with pride and happiness. The Kathak performance on the song ‘Bhoomimangalam’ was a harmonious fusion of the celestial beauty of the universe and elegant dance movements.
Poetry imbues words with tone and hue, transforming them into lovely compositions. Caroling in the spirit, the students recited poems ‘What If’ and ‘Kitabein’. Next, depicting the rich and vibrant folk dance of Rajasthan, the kids stupefied the audience with an energetic foot tapping on the song ‘Bhavai’. The prize distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the achievers where they were awarded with Academic and Co-Curricular awards.
The event rode to a final crescendo with a spellbound theatrical staging of the play ‘The For…Giving’ where the message of kindness and compassion was at the forefront. The two-hour long cultural bonanza held the audience in awe and left them riveting in felicitation. The event left a lasting impression which was evident on the gleaming faces of parents and children.
