Description :
“The essence of the independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but in how it thinks.”-Christopher Hitchens
To introduce young learners to scientific methods while promoting hands-on exploration and critical thinking skills, The HDFC school organised “Geniuses at work” science activity on November 30 for grades I and II to engage young minds in science experiments at an early age and foster a love for learning. Students were excited and enthusiastic about experiments like Self-inflating balloon, Crystal Rainbow, Candle experiments etc. This activity encouraged and sparked curiosity among students to observe, predict, explore and question cause-and-effect relationships through visual aids and simple props. Students dressed up as their favourite scientists and it was an enjoyable experience for the young learners as it boosted their ability and confidence to explore and understand the world around them. The activity was an effective way to develop thinking and problem-solving skills for science inquiry.
