The Interdisciplinary Presentation demonstrates how our students use the learning acquired from a range of cross-curricular activities, which are based on a central theme and showcase their mastery and understanding in various art foms. With that in mind, The HDFC School, Gurgaon hosted the Inter-Disciplinary Project for grades I-II on March 6, 2023. Our young learners delivered memorable and engaging presentations on the themes ‘Universe & Rocks and Minerals.’
The energetic rock stars of grade I with twinkle in their eyes and glimmer on their faces displayed their understanding of the universe by weaving the facts and the concepts in a form of role play. They created mesmerizing UFO spaceships, captivating constellations and crafts on shiny moon. The enthusiastic participation of the parents raised the magnificence of the day to a striking height. Keeping the spirits high, the students of grade II donned the roles from different professions and showcased their knowledge of volcanos, landforms, layers of the Earth, and covered the entire concept of rock cycle and minerals.
The presence of parents boosted the morale of the students. Not only that, the students of grade I, involved their parents in an online quiz, where they answered fun filled questions through a polling system, hence using technology. In grade II, the parents created mesmerizing monuments with the help of coloured pebbles and stones. The rock garden in the foyer area was the highlight of the event. We appreciate the effort and commitment of our young learners who carried out the entire presentation on their own and performed brilliantly.
