Description :
“Words- so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them.”
Nathaniel Hawthorne
Day 1, Literary Week at the HDFC School started with books in bags, and curiosity in hearts. Students knew it wasn’t just a celebration of
words and languages but of diversity and unity. The imaginative minds with the creative license and the ingenious flow of words escalated
the literary mood as they put in their all in activities like – Slam Poetry, Blackout Poetry, and Solving Anagrams, Brainteasers, and English Riddles.
he first and second graders beheld the magic of new words in word tree activity - wherein they wrote 2, 3, 4 letter words on leaf cutouts.
Not just that, their creative juices splashed in different colors on the parachute cutouts where they wrote their observations of their favourite poems.
Grade IX to XII, on the other hand, were out on an excursion to PM Museum, collecting memories, and insights into the history of the country.
What they make of that experience is awaited in the narratives and screenplay scripts that they are in the process of writing!
