The HDFC School organized a trip to South Korea as a part of Cultural Exchange Program under the aegis of Korean Cultural Centre from 31 May to 5 June, 2023.
It was an exciting opportunity for students to engage in cultural immersion and foster global connections. They had the chance to visit historical
landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and explore traditional markets like Namdaemun Market. Immersing themselves in Korean traditions, the students
participated in activities like wearing hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), trying local cuisine, and learning traditional dances. These experiences
allowed them to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country~s customs and heritage.
The students got the opportunity to attend one of the prestigious school of Seoul, Inwang Middle School, as a partner school in South Korea,
where they interacted with local students, engaged in cross-cultural discussions, and exchanged knowledge. Students attended language classes
that enabled students to acquire basic Korean language skills, enhancing their communication abilities. Additionally, visits to museums, art galleries,
and cultural centers provided valuable insights into South Korea~s history, art, and technological advancements. Through interactions with Korean students,
they improved their communication skills, developed lasting friendships, and acquired valuable intercultural competencies. The impact of this exchange program
will continue to resonate with the students, equipping them with skills and perspectives that will be valuable throughout their lives.
