The students of Grade III presented their first virtual inter-disciplinary project for the first term on 14th September, 2021. The topic was “Our Universe”. Inter-Disciplinary Project creates a platform for students to gain knowledge on various disciplines, develop contextual analysis and presentation skills. The students presented their research on various topics such as - galaxies, constellations, celestial bodies, rotation and revolution.
The presentation began with an introduction about the theme. Thereafter the students explained the formation of universe and its components. A group of students explained different constellations and its importance. With the help of augmented reality app, students exhibited the layers of the Earth which gave a 3D analysis of the Earth’s dissected view. The phenomenon of rotation and revolution was demonstrated through working models. Using Minecraft, students illustrated launching of rockets into the Solar System. To conclude the presentation, a few students recited a poem in Hindi wherein they gave out a message to the audience to protect and take care of mother Earth.
All the students enthusiastically presented their project to a large group of parents and their fellow classmates. Parents truly appreciated the ability of students to use various technologies, in making their project so informative and interactive. The efforts and the hard work that the little ones had put-in, to present such a marvellous Inter-Disciplinary Project, was well liked by the audience.
