~ Dr. BR Ambedkar.
April 14, 2021 was the 130th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, best known for being the architect of the Indian Constitution and for his struggle
against untouchability in Indian society. Fondly known as Babasaheb the social reformer, economist, thinker,
politician and the first law Minister of Independent India.
Taking the current scenario of COVID-19 into consideration, a Special activity was conducted on MS Teams to commemorate
‘Ambedkar Jayanti’ on 16th April by The HDFC School, Pune from 9:20 am – 10:00 am on MS Teams.
The primary students from Grades III to V were expounded a presentation
on Dr. Ambedkar which included Ambedkar’s biography, facts, history, teachings, principles,
struggles, etc. Students exuberantly took part in the Ambedkar Jayanti celebration by making colourful
bookmarks, designing and decorating the Preamble and palm making activity wherein students wrote keywords from the preamble.
Students made beautiful sketch of Ambedkar. The session finally deduced with highlighting a few of our students’
perspectives on Ambedkar, as a person, and everything he did for our nation.
