Events

Events provide a platform to our students to showcase their talents and energies both at the academic as well as creative fronts. An event is nothing without the efforts of a sincere and diligent team working together. Our students and staff are full of innovative and progressive ideas. Hard work and preparedness go a long way and can be seen at the various events being held at The HDFC School and preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.

SOHA Exhibition

Date of event: September - 2021

Description :

Sustainability education carries with it the responsibility of conveying information to students that contains alarming, often depressing news of the state of the world. What can students and educators learn from prominent advocates of sustainability that will enable them to offer students a sense of hope while preparing them to meet the challenges for a sustainable future that lie ahead?

The “Seeds of Hope & Action” (SOHA) an online exhibition is a joint initiative of the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) and the Earth Charter International. The exhibition is being organized by Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) in various schools which stresses our interconnectedness with the rest of the community of life and the need to broaden our sphere of compassion. It encourages viewers to overcome feelings of powerlessness and highlights the fact that a single individual can initiate positive change. The 24-panel SOHA exhibition also introduces a positive vision for sustainable living that can contribute to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It includes panels portraying six individuals from South Sudan to Lebanon and Brazil who have successfully taken action for change.

In an effort to take this vision forward, The HDFC School Pune , hosted this exhibition for students of Grade VI – XI. Senior wing students presented their interpretation of each panel followed by screening of the documentary A Quite Revolution and an interactive question answer round with the esteemed panellists.
